Tupac Amaru Shakur also known by his stage name 2Pac and Makaveli, was one of rap music and pop culture's biggest icons during the 90's. Lovers of his music would argue that he surpassed the level of his peers by breaking boundaries as a musician, actor and humanitarian - despite his numerous confrontations with the law.
Tupac's music and philosophy were deeply rooted in African-American culture and world entities, including the Black Panther Party, Black Nationalism, Egalitarianism, and of course the ultimate goal of uplifting the consciousness of the people. This year, the All Eyez on Me biopic will be released, and we hope directors are successful in recreating his legacy, portraying his memorable life and death in a positive light.
My mama always used to tell me: 'If you can't find somethin' to live for, you best find somethin' to die for. - Tupac Shakur
